We are opening the vault on our carefully curated wares. Expect to find stunning lamps, sculptural glass, elegant vases, statement mirrors, furniture that lasts a lifetime, and rare, one-off treasures we deliberately held onto for exactly the right room. Our collections are fabulously chic, offering timeless inspiration and quality that outlasts any season. Everything remaining is marked down by half or more, and once a piece goes, it is gone for good.
The name Veritables is derived from the Latin word veritas, meaning truth, or “true goods.” Sourcing those true goods has been our driving passion since opening our very first Madison Valley shop in 1993. The journey actually began when owner Marie Harris moved from Manhattan to the Greater Seattle area to care for a sick friend. The two best friends opened Veritables together, and when her friend sadly passed away six months later, Marie fiercely carried on their shared dream of bringing a curated mix of East and West urban style to the Pacific Northwest.
In 2008, Veritables expanded to the Eastside, and Marie completely fell in love with Main Street. For the last eighteen years, the quaint, friendly atmosphere of Old Bellevue has been our true home. It has been a fabulous run serving as your one-stop shop for eclectic interiors, art, and timeless design.
As the founder of Veritables, Marie has spent over thirty years honing an aesthetic that is both fabulously stylish and effortlessly livable. Her distinct eye for blending East Coast urbanity with Pacific Northwest warmth has cultivated a fiercely loyal clientele.
You can find Marie’s unmistakable touch inside some of the most stunning residences across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. From intimate downtown condos to ground-up custom estates and cozy coastal cabins, she partners directly with homeowners and premier builders to craft spaces that are impeccably styled and tailored to each client’s needs.
Beyond her design work, Marie has been a pillar of the Main Street community, proudly championing the neighborhood as Vice President and President of the Old Bellevue Merchant Association.
While we dream up exactly what the future holds, she remains fully active and available for custom residential and commercial projects. She is thrilled to continue sharing her signature vision through bespoke, hands-on collaborations during this transition and beyond.
